How far can your car run?
The first season of the electric state "PaPa" competition has been successfully concluded, which allows the majority of car owners to know the longest cruising range of their cars, but also has many experiences that have never been seen before, and deepens their understanding of their cars. The first season of the competition received enthusiastic response, and other car owners hoped that we could hold a race with a cruising range of 200-300 kilometers. In order to fully meet everyone’s needs, on March 25th, we started the second season of the "PaPa PaPa" competition — A Tale of Two Cities in Beijing and Tianjin.
Let’s talk about the rules of the game to friends who don’t know: this is not the kind of "bang bang" you think in your mind, but a challenge to the cruising range of electric vehicles. Test how much the real cruising range of electric vehicles is until you drive to the armpit; Car owners don’t have to worry about the troubles after sleeping, because we have prepared a variety of rescue measures to wait for you to sleep.
In this competition, we will have a thrilling 300-kilometer endurance PK in the future, including urban areas, loops, highways and all kinds of real road conditions. Who will last longer? Who can surpass the endurance limit?
The scoring rules have also been adjusted, taking the proportion of cruising range beyond the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of this vehicle as the judging standard. The greater the proportion of cruising range, the higher the score and the greater the prize. The first prize is a 50-inch full HD LED LCD TV, and who will spend the TV? Let’s wait and see!
The total length of the competition route is about 230 kilometers. First, it starts from the electric state headquarters of Jingshi Lawyer Building in the East Fourth Ring Road, enters the Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway from the Fourth Ring Road, and the midpoint is the Eye of Tianjin Ferris Wheel. On the return journey, it enters Yizhuang Development Zone along the Beijing-Tianjin Expressway, and finally gathers and sprints near the second canal subway station.
There are 6 models participating in this competition, namely Geely Emgrand EV 2016, BYD e5, BYD Qin EV300, BAIC EU260, Changan Yidong EV and Tengshi 300.
1. Geely Emgrand EV 2016

6. Tengshi 300
The cruising range of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is 253km
The battery capacity is 47.5kWh
Before the start of the competition, there are still staff to explain the competition route and various precautions for everyone, so that everyone participating in the competition can know fairly well.
Before the start of the race, the odometer of each car was cleared, because some cars cleared the subtotal mileage when they were at the charging station, and some miles had been driven at the starting point, and another car directly used the total mileage to calculate, but this had no effect on the race results, and the results were all true and valid.
After starting from Jingshi Lawyer Building, we went straight to Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway. The road conditions were very good, all the way was smooth, and there was no traffic jam. The speed was basically kept at a constant speed of 50-70 km/h.
Not long after entering the expressway, there was a serious traffic jam at the exit to the west of Tianjin, which even affected the passage of the main road, but we don’t know the specific reason for the traffic jam.
However, the road ahead of us was smooth, and the speed was kept at about 80km/h, heading for Tianjin.
Later, we arrived at Xuguantun service area to adjust and rest. Here, we also found an unexpected discovery: there is an electric vehicle charging and replacing station in this service area, especially the equipment of the changing station is very commendable, which provides convenience for the more efficient driving of electric vehicles in the future. In an interview with the owner of Beiqi, who is charging, he said: I learned very early that there is a competition in the electric state today, and I am very concerned about it. I will attend it in person if I have the opportunity in the future.
After that, we drove smoothly on this expressway, and all the way was smooth. In this case, driving is still very energy-saving for electric vehicles.
After driving off the highway, we soon approached the midpoint of the trip — The Eye of Tianjin Ferris wheel, from a distance, stands there with great momentum.
Although it is the midpoint of this trip, the power consumption of vehicles is basically less than half, so the car owners are very happy to take photos with Tianjin landmark buildings as a souvenir.
At this time, it was close to 12 noon, and we went to the "Eight Bowls" restaurant next to the Food Street in Nanshi, Tianjin, which is also a famous time-honored brand in Tianjin, where we are about to start a unique steamed stuffed bun eating competition.
The rule of the competition is that the one who gets the most steamed buns in his mouth at the same time wins, provided that the steamed buns can’t be exposed outside his mouth, and the winner will get a mysterious prize from our electric state. Because some of the pictures of the competition are too "ferocious", we won’t show them to you, so everyone can make up the intense scenes when eating steamed buns by themselves.
The result of the competition surprised everyone in the venue. The winner turned out to be the oldest uncle, who won the mysterious prize Durex box. After the game, everyone clinked glasses to congratulate him, hoping that he could use this grand prize happily.
After dinner, we started heading for Beijing, passing through tianjin drum tower along the way, and the building as a whole is very characteristic of China.
Walking in the urban area of Tianjin, Zotye E200 and some low-speed electric vehicles can be seen from time to time, which also shows that electric vehicles have developed rapidly in large cities, which is a good sign. However, the appearance of this kind of low-speed scooter similar to the elderly on urban roads exposes some problems. First, there are many doubts about the legality of this kind of vehicle on the road, and secondly, it is safe. This kind of vehicle is not low in speed. If it is driven with a motor vehicle, it will be fatal to the people inside.
Soon we will enter the Beijing-Tianjin Expressway, which is a two-way eight-lane design. Compared with the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Expressway, the road conditions are much better and the road conditions are excellent. Here, our car owners are very cool, and some car owners also turn on cruise control, which can save both labor and electricity.
Just as we are about to reach the end of this competition — In Yizhuang Development Zone, the first crouching vehicle appeared. The final score of Changan Yidong EV was 211.7km, which exceeded the cruising range of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 11.7km, and finally exceeded the value of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 5.85%.
When Yidong EV is about to lie prone, a staff member will lead the way out of the expressway to avoid danger. After sleeping, we dispatched a rescue vehicle to drag Yidong EV to the gathering charging station of Hung Yue Building in Yizhuang Development Zone for charging. The charging station inquired through the e-charging network APP, looked at nearby sites on the homepage, found the nearest idle charging pile through dynamic information, and then used the mobile phone to scan the code to charge.
After the code scanning is successful, the charging pile starts quickly. During the whole charging process, the charging progress can be monitored through the APP, and the time and power consumption of the vehicle can be queried. The overall use process is very convenient and the overall experience is very good.
E-charging network is a public service management platform for charging facilities under the guidance of Beijing Municipal Government. At present, it has been connected to most operators in Beijing, as a connector between users, governments and operators, which has broken the previous isolation of charging information and realized the interconnection between charging facilities and service platforms.
Using an APP can connect a variety of charging piles, easily solve the charging problem, and effectively alleviate the charging anxiety of new and old users. This interconnection can be used as a model for the interconnection of national charging infrastructure, which will promote the development of China’s new energy automobile industry to a certain extent.
At this moment, the other five cars are still driving in Yizhuang Development Zone. We have designed a circular route with a length of about 5km. There are few social vehicles and the road conditions are very smooth. Everyone can rest assured to drive. Here, we have also prepared a "about charging" fast charging car. Just when everyone has no electricity, we can simply understand this car as a "large charging treasure". Once the vehicle has no electricity, it can be quickly charged.
A diesel generator is installed in this truck to directly extract fuel from the fuel tank of the vehicle to generate electricity, but this does not change from dispersed pollution to concentrated pollution. A purifier is equipped in the truck to turn waste gas into steam, which can maximize environmental protection. There will be no noisy noise coming out when the generator is working, and the sound can be as low as 60 decibels. First, we use BYD e5 work car for charging experience, and almost no noise can be heard during the actual charging process, which is still good.
Car owners can make a variety of APPointments and make on-site charging through the mobile APP, and then there will be staff to provide services, and finally the settlement payment through the app is very convenient.
Because this road is very good and there are few social vehicles, everyone’s speed is not fast and the brakes are rarely used, and the speed is controlled entirely by the throttle, so the race has been going on for a long time. Although there is a certain gap between the last race and the actual road driving, there will be no such perfect road conditions in the actual driving, but it can also be regarded as a reference value.
After driving for a period of time, the second vehicle appeared. Beiqi EU260 traveled 276.5km, exceeding the cruising range of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 16.5km, and finally exceeding the value of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 6.35%.
The third crouching vehicle appeared, and the Geely Emgrand EV 2016 traveled a total of 324.7km (because it was the same as Tengshi’s mileage, it was calculated by 325km), which exceeded the cruising range of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 72km and finally exceeded the value of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 28.46%.
The mileage of the fourth Pawo car Tengshi is actually the same as that of Emgrand EV, which is 325km, which exceeds the cruising range of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 72km, and finally exceeds the value of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 28.46%. Because Tengshi didn’t clear the subtotal mileage at the starting point, it used the total mileage to calculate, and the total mileage can only be accurate to single digits, so the Emgrand EV mileage was also calculated to single digits. Although it seems a little imprecise, it is all after the decimal point and will not affect the result of the race, so the results of the two cars are the same.
The fifth pawo car is BYD Qin EV300, with a total distance of 323.4km, which exceeds the cruising range of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 23.4km, and finally exceeds the value of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 7.80%. You may have questions, how can people with less mileage lie down later than those with longer mileage? Because the driving speed of BYD Qin EV300 is very slow, while the driving speed of other owners is slightly faster, and the number of laps is different, which leads to a long time for BYD Qin EV300.
The last car was BYD e5, which traveled a total of 373.6km, exceeding the cruising range of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 68.6km, and finally exceeding the value of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by 22.49%.
The results of this competition are as follows:
Bangpingdian
This competition still continues the principle of fairness, justice and truthfulness for the first time, and the competition process and results are completely true and effective, but the cruising range of electric vehicles has a great relationship with road conditions, driving methods, driving speed and even weather conditions, and it is impossible to copy the results of this competition blindly; In the final stage of the race, everyone tried their best to get the first place, and the speed was slow, and there was almost no brake action, which made the actual mileage in the end different, but the result of the race was beautiful, and all the vehicles exceeded the cruising range value of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, indicating that it is not necessary to pay attention to the mileage deliberately in the actual use process, but to drive according to the mileage calibrated by the manufacturer.
